Around 2 today I'm going to go buy a used laptop. For those of you who are uber, I will post the specs (oh, I know it's neither new or top of the line, but for what I plan on using it for (read beating your asses into submission in WC3 when I come over and stealing wi-fi) it will suit nicely.

Dell Laptop
PIII850Mhz Processor
512MB RAM
20GB HDD
24x CD-ROM
14" Screen on the laptop
6cell Battery + Power Supply + Dell Case
Dell Docking station (no stand)
Fully working laptop / just bought it used a month ago(used and then upgraded)
Running Windows XP Pro SP2
Price $350

The big things I see a problem with are the hard drive (which I don't think is too much a problem as I plan on using this as a lite machine) and the cd-rom (i'd prefer a dvd-rom). And maybe ram, but that's easily fixable as well. oh craig'slist...

I want/sorta need a cheap, reliable laptop. Any suggestions. I want it for downloading music, running itunes, talking on AIM and poking people on facebook and I need it for writing papers, doing spanish modules online, and possibly doing a few chem labs and powerpoint presentations. K-dawg, check the Chicago page at www.craigslist.com. That's where I picked mine up from ($350 for a pentium 3). Or if you can find one in Richmond and get me the money before August, I'll get it for you and bring it home with me.
